Position Overview:

Joining Ramos Industries, Inc. as an experienced Glazier means you’ll be at the forefront of our installation projects, employing your refined skill set in a role that demands precision, a keen eye for detail, and unwavering commitment to safety and supreme quality standards.

Key Responsibilities:

• Execute precise measurements, cutting, and fitting of glass units, including but not limited to IGUs, laminated glass, and tempered glass, in various settings such as aluminum frames and curtain wall systems.
• Safely remove and dispose of old or broken glass panes, preparing frames for installation with a thorough understanding of load-bearing capacities.
• Apply and tool sealants for weatherproofing and structural glazing applications, ensuring leak-free installations.
• Interpret complex architectural and shop drawings to translate design visions into tangible glass installations.
• Fabricate and install aluminum storefronts and curtain wall systems, understanding the nuances of thermal breaks and proper anchoring techniques.
• Employ up-to-date knowledge of building codes and ADA compliance in all installations.
• Leverage glazing-specific tools and equipment, including suction cups, glazier’s points, and glass cutters, for precise installations.

Minimum Requirements:

• Minimum of 5 years in the glazing industry with hands-on experience in cutting, installing, and removing glass.
• Demonstrated proficiency in using high-precision glazing tools and equipment.
• In-depth knowledge of commercial and residential glass types, including performance characteristics and application specifics.
• Proven ability to interpret blueprints and architectural drawings.
• Strong mathematical and geometrical skills for accurate measurements and installations.
• Valid driver’s license and access to reliable transportation.
• Capable of performing physically demanding tasks, including lifting heavy materials, and working at heights.
• Excellent teamwork and communication skills, with a track record of professional customer interactions.
